Since 1999, the County of Maui has taken responsibility for recycling electronics legally.

Maui was the first county within the State of Hawaii to do so, and remains the only county with an ongoing program to keep these hazardous waste materials out of the landfill.

The administration arm of the program is run by Habitat for Humanity Maui. SharginAloha runs the transport and processing arm of the program.

We are open Every Tuesday and Saturday between 9 am and 1 pm. We are located at 901 Lower Main St. in Wailuku, across from the ILWU building, on the same side of the street as Homemade Bakery.

We accept everything with an electronic circuit board – EXCEPT HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES. This includes:

  • Computers and everything at attaches to computers
  • TVs and everything that attaches to them
  • ALL phones ever made
  • ALL audio equipment
  • ALL gaming and MP3 equipment
  • ALL printers/faxes/copiers.

The test for whether we take an item is simple – if it is designed to heat or cool something we don’t take it. NO toaster ovens, for example.

We do not offer a pick up service but we have labor to help you off-load your vehicle.

If you need more information, please call our eCycling line at 280-6460.
